A Two Day Workshop with Laura Wasilowski

Description: Celebrate the sewing tools we all love by making a small art quilt featuring your favorite sewing implement. Create a spool of thread, thimble, scissors, iron, or pincushion wall hanging for your sewing room or as a gift for a friend. The colorful fabric kit contains all the fabric, thread, and patterns you need to make a cheerful little quilt. Or combine the small quilts to make a big quilt with all the tools.
(Sewing machine needed.) $25 Kit Fee.

Supplies Participants Should Bring:

•  2 yards of regular weight Wonder-Under (paper backed, #805). Please DO NOT BRING HEAT 'N BOND or STEAM A SEAM.

•  Small sharp scissors like 5" knife blade scissors

•  Paper scissors

•  Rotary cutter, ruler, and mat

•  Black Sharpie Fine Point marker or #2 lead pencil

•  Specialty rotary cutter blades, such as Pinking, Wavy or Scallop (optional).

•  Batting, 1 piece measuring about 40" x 40". Hobbs Heirloom Premium Cotton Batting recommended

•  Quilt backing fabric, 1 piece measuring about 40" x 40"

•  Iron and ironing surface (share with other class members if not provided by group)

•  Tweezers (optional)

•  Small plastic bag for fabric scraps

• Thimble (optional)

• Thread for sewing machine, 3 bright colors

• Sewing machine

$25 Kit Fee: Includes hand out, pattern, and hand-dyed fabrics and threads.
